Silicone coated glass braid - HILFLEX 300 Series
The Hilflex 300 series of high temperature insulation sleevings are manufactured by coating knitted 'E' glass yarn with a solvent less silicone elastomer. Hence the process has no significant enviroment hazard. The minimum size of the glass yarn filaments is greater the 9 microns and offers no hazard from inhalation.
All Hilflex S300 grades will retain flexibility within the temperature range -60°C to +250°C, and will operate continuously at 180°C and have a short term rating 250°C.
- Hilflex S300 - 2.0kV grade
- Hilflex S320 - 1.0kV grade
- Hilflex S350/SD350 - 4.0kV grade
- Hilflex S375 - 10.0kV grade
- Hilflex S360 (wall thickness 1.0mm) - 6.0kV grade
- Hilflex S367 (wall thickness 0.7mm) - 4.0kV grade
Grades are available with electric strengths of 1.0kV and types S360 and S367 have guaranteed minimum sleeving wall thicknesses of 1.0mm and 0.7mm respectively to meet Approval Authority requirements.
Hilflex S300 series insulating sleevings are classed as self-extinguishing.
