Acrylic coated glass braid - HILFLEX 900 Series
The Hilflex 900 series of insulating sleevings are widely used for the insulation of winding lead outs and joints on Class F rated induction motors and alternators and on transformer/choke winding lead outs. Hilflex 944, having high electrical and mechanical strength, is employed on H.V. rotating machine winding joint stub insulation.
Hilflex 942 is used in motor vehicle wiring harness manufacture for the bunching, consolidation and protection of cables.
Features and Benefits:-
The specially formulated acrylic resin coatings are applied as aqueous solutions and hence the sleeving manufacturing process has no significant enviromental hazard.
The sleevings are constructed from braided or knitted 'E' glass yarn with the minimum size of the glass yarn filaments greater than 9 microns there by offering no health hazard from inhalation.
The acrylic resin coated sleevings are characterised by excellent flexibility allied to high abrasion resistance and mechanical strength.
The Hilflex 900 series of sleevings are capable of continuous performance at Class F (155°C) temperatures and short term exposure up to 200°C.
